Description

The meshwork bag inset with a rose diamond monogram with the letter E surmounted by a coronet, the clasp set with cabochon synthetic sapphires, measuring approximately 275 x 125 mm, two small diamonds deficient.

Provenance

Formerly in the collection of Emilia Giovanazzi, Countess Tosti, wife of Francesco, Count Tosti, Duke of Valminuta, the son of the princess Maria Felicita Ruffo di Calabria.

Condition

Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Weighing approximately 322 grams. Silk lining in poor condition, could benefit from being replaced. Diamonds bright and lively, two stones deficient. Synthetic sapphires dark blue. Well articulated. Abrasions to mount consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
