湖涵，即劉安溥（1891-1974），字和盞，號湖涵，浙江湖州南潯鎮人，為「南潯四相」之首劉墉第四子。民國后在上海經營房地產及銀行業，在西湖邊築有「小方壺別墅」收其所藏書畫、碑帖、古籍等。本次拍賣第749號拍品張善孖《古木群馬》亦上款「湖涵」，其與當時諸家相友善可見一斑。
