Catalogue Note

Born in 1917, Guangdong, Kwok-Choi (K.C.) Tai was the son of a venerated late Qing scholar and third ranked official. After studying Chinese literature and psychology at Sun Yatsen University during WWII, he taught at the College of Education, Hong Kong until immigrating to North America in the early 1990s. Most of his collection was acquired between the 1950s and 1980s.
