Catalogue Note
According to Fu Shen, "Originally, this transcription contained all eight poems from Du Fu's set, but the present scroll contains only the last two, followed by Zhu Yunming's signature. Wen Zhengming saw the scroll in 1534 and completed the missing six poems on a separate sheet of paper which is mounted following Zhu Yunming's writing, thus authenticating the original. The high quality of both sections also speaks for their genuineness." (Traces, p. 209)
