齊白石輓陳師曾詩句道盡了以藝相交之深厚感情。本幅取黃庭堅詩意
入畫，緊扣「編蒲束縛十八輩」句，祇見蒲草細長如繩，牽纏糾結，將
三五成群，雜亂無序之螃蟹束縛成串。群蟹或正或側，或向或背，或
相叠僅露螯爪，但細數下，正合十八之數！師曾鮮以「無腸公子」為題
入畫，偶一為之，實應好友白石之請而製。他純施淨墨，筆下濃淡乾
濕相交，點染輕重提頓，即狀其形，呈其神，尤得生動活潑之妙。
署年「庚申長夏」，亦即白石得其提點「衰年變法」之時。日後擅寫水
族，蝦蟹更臻神妙，本幅或有觸發誘導之功。白石得此，於紙背左上
右下兩角鈐「阿芝」印，寶愛之情，於此可見！同年十二月，他即取山
谷老人原詩寫〈螃蟹〉一幅，與師曾此畫相和應。
畫上具以小說〈紅旗譜〉名噪文壇的作家梁斌（1914-1996）題跋。從中
可知一九六五年已轉入其收藏了。
