註：本幅寫於一九四○年三月下旬，乃鄧芬遊藥山精舍時即席所作。
同遊者包括其入室弟子余匡父及時避居濠江之油畫家譚華牧（1895-
1976）等。
畫中構圖簡潔，筆墨隨心，不事雕飾，取其自然真趣。袛見喜鵲立於
寒梅疏枝上，以淡墨為主，僅於鵲喙、翅膀、梅蕊等骨節處稍以濃墨
提醒，物態輪廓頓顯，神情立現，可謂形神俱備矣！如斯處理手法，
與前幅〈白荷〉相類，蓋同屬贈方外之交也！
