of compressed globular form, each section similarly carved in openwork with a frieze of scrolling peony issuing leaves and buds, the cover surmounted by a wide knop with four further peony blooms encircled by a plain band, all raised on a low circular foot ring, the translucent stone dark green variegated with streaks of celadon (2)

There are minor nicks to the edges of the box and cover, otherwise the lot is in overall good condirion.
