Description

  • gilt-bronze
finely cast, seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus pedestal base, the hands held in varadamudra and vitarkamudra mudras and holding twisting lotus stems, the slightly tilted head with crisply defined features including a 'third eye' repeated on the hands and feet

Condition

Unsealed; a loss to the base of stem, which would have originally been supported by the right hand; and losses to the upper tips of both steams (as visible in catalogue image). The upper body and face possibly with re-touching to gilding.
