Description

the compressed globular body rising from three cabriole stylised lion mask and paw feet to an everted rim, finely cast around the exterior with a broad band enclosing four large gilt wan, shou, wu and jiang characters (boundless longevity) divided by ferocious scaly five-clawed dragons reserved on a dense ruyi cloud ground, all divided by two large high relief dragon handles, the base with apocryphal six-character Xuande mark, the domed cover with a pierced band enclosing dragon and phoenix amidst ruyi cloud scrolls and all surmounted by a pierced and high relief dragon finial, wood stand

Condition

In excellent general condition. Some nicks and dents to the rim and relief casting. Minor rubbing to gilt characters.
