Description

  • porcelain with gilt and lacquered wood stand
the curved tapering sides moulded with a raised fillet below the everted rim, painted to the exterior with meandering lotus scrolls between ruyi and lappet bands, encircled by a band of circles just below the rim, gilt and lacquered wood stand

Condition

This fish bowl is in good condition but does have a 68cm horizontal firing crack to the interior. There are a number of burst bubbles, iron spots and scratches to the glaze to the exterior and the rim. The gilt wood stand is in good condition but there are some areas of loss to the gesso and the gilding and some scratches to the gilding.
