the ovoid body rising from a short foot to a short tapered neck, brightly decorated to the exterior with a standing peacock and long-tailed birds sheltering among shrubs or flying in a garden landscape with magnolia, peony and bamboo, all below an ice-crackle band, the neck with leafy floral branches issuing from pierced rocks

Condition

There is a 1.5cm long bruise/crack to the rim to one side and s small shallow (5mm by 5mm) chip to the exterior rim beside this. There are areas of re-enamelling to the vase covered by a thin layer of varnish, that is the magnolia branches, the two flying pheasants, some of the bamboo and the peony flowers with no visible physical damage underneath. There is numerous scratches to the glaze to the side of the vase and a 2.5cm firing crack to the base.
