the curved sides rising from a straight foot, brightly decorated to the exterior with squirrels clambering on overhanging leafy grape vines, all below a floral band, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a squirrel amongst grape vines, encircled at the rim with a floral border, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark

Condition

There are four long restored cracks to the rim of this bowl (5cm, 6cm, 6cm and 4cm). There is a misfired area to one side of the interior (5cm by 3cm) and some iron spots and scratches to the glaze.
