Description

  • porcelain
of rectangular form raised on a stepped plinth, painted to the interior with flowering peonies and a fruiting peach tree in a garden landscape with pierced rocks, all surrounded by peony scrolls and leafy peach sprays, the exterior painted with shaped floral cartouches reserved on diaper grounds, encircled at the foot with ruyi scrolls, the base with a horizontal six-character reign mark within a rectangle surrounded by ruyi heads

Condition

The box is in good condition, but does have a 3cm firing crack to the interior to one side of the base. There is also rubbing to enamels (especially the iron-red) to the interior. There is numerous iron spots and scratches to the glaze.
