Description
- Cloisonne enamel, gilt copper
the curved sides rising from a short foot to a barbed everted rim, the interior brightly decorated against a turquoise ground with a central floral medallion encircled by stylised floral strapwork and a ruyi band, all encircled by meandering lotus scrolls at the cavetto, the rim with stylised foliate strapwork, similarly decorated to the exterior with lotus scrolls, the base with prunus florets and buds dispersed on an ice-crackle ground

Condition
Extensive pitting and minor losses to the enamel. An area of loss to one side measuring 20mm wide with a slight indentation. Wear to the gilt-bronze.
