the baluster body rising to a waisted neck with lipped rim, the body moulded and painted with three rows of petal-shaped panels variously enclosing blossoming flowers and ladies in a garden, all divided by geometric and floral bands, the cover similarly decorated

Condition
The jar is in good condition with the exception of some rim chips (2.5, 1.5, 1 and 1cm., wide), a 19cm., firing line running around the interior of the luting line, a three-pointed hairline starcrack to the interior (not visible externally) and light rim fritting; the cover has four rim chips (4, 3.5, 2.5 an 1cm., wide), an associated bruise to the large chip and minor nibbles to the rim and inner flange, and light glaze scratches to jar and cover.
