Description
of ovoid form with rounded tapered sides supported on a recessed base, below a waisted neck and lipped mouthrim, deftly painted in slightly blurred underglaze blue with the 'Three Friends of Winter', prunus, bamboo and pine, all entangled within a wide band and issuing from a double line border encircling the foot, the shoulder collared with a 'classic' scroll and the neck picked out with detached clouds, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within double circles, wood stand

Condition
The jar is in overall very good condition. There is an original minute nick in the biscuit under the glaze on the rim and a tiny firing speck on one side.
