Description
ink on paper, comprising twelve leaves finely painted with various lakeside scenes and mountainous landscapes, all set between brocade front and back covers, the last painted leaf inscribed with an apocryphal signature Chen Qian Weicheng gong hui ('Respectfully painted by Qian Weicheng'), followed by the seals Chen and Cheng, the first leaf apocryphally applied with the oval seal Qianlong yulan zhi bao, flanked by the seals Qianlong jian shang and Shiqu Baoji, the last leaf apocryphally applied with the seals Sanxitang jingjian xi and Yi zisun
Condition
The leaves are dismanteled from a book and backed on the album with slightly trimmed edges and a folding mark to the centre of each. The paper in toned and all are lightly soiled. A few with light water stain marks along the left edge, one with a small worm hole towards the upper left corner, a few others with some minor wear to the corners. The covers are somewhat faded with withering along the edges.
