A GREEN-GROUND AUBERGINE-ENAMELLED BOWL MARK AND PERIOD OF KANGXI

finely potted with deep rounded sides rising from a short foot to an everted rim, incised around the exterior and enamelled in purplish-brown against an iridescent green glaze with two five-clawed dragons striding among wispy flames and clouds in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl', all above jagged rocks battered by waves, the interior and the base reserved in white, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within double circles

There are two hairlines at the rim (4 cm. and 0.5 cm.). There are a few pinholes on the interior and tiny minute shrinkages in the glaze on the rim and base. Apart from this the bowl is in overall very good condition.
