Description

thinly carved and well hollowed with lobed rounded sides rising from a slightly recessed floor on the interior to a barbed rim divided into eight bracket foliations, all supported on a slightly splayed foot of conforming section and flanked by two 'ear'-shaped archaistic handles formed from angular strapworks, the translucent stone of even celadon-white colour smoothly polished to a silky surface

Condition

Apart from very minor nicks around the rim, some slightly polished and possibly original to the piece, the jade cup is in overall very good condition.
