Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some dryness to the surface of the marble (it is possible that the marble could have been outside and exposed to the elements). There is veining to the marble throughout, consistent with the material, in particular to the face, chest and to the back of the drapery. There are some dirt marks to the surface, including to the proper left arm. There are a few small abrasions, including to the drapery and to the toes. There are some small chips and orange staining to the base. The column is composed of sections of marble and filled with composite. There is minor wear to the column.
