Condition

The overall condition of the wood is good. There is a large loss to the left side of the base. There are stable original joints visible at the double shoulders and the proper left leg and also at Job's proper right foot. There is a separately carved section on top of Job's hat above his forehead. There is a pin to the devil's proper right arm. The devil's proper left thumb is lost. Much of the original polychromy survives but is flaking in places including to Job's proper right leg and his chest on the proper right side. There is non-active worming in particular to the base. There is a hook in the base of the dungheap.
