Condition

Overall the condition of the wood is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. Much of the original polychromy survives though there is wear throughout. Christ's arms and the Virgin's proper right arm are lost. There is a loss to the right corner of the base. There are also some losses to the base at the back. The polychromy has been refreshed in some areas, including at the back and at the bottom. There is minor splitting to the wood consistent with the material. There are a few small losses to the coronet. There are a few small holes to the underside.
