Catalogue Note
Originally published, as a black and white drawing, within Little Folks - A Magazine for Young People in 1901. The drawing was published, in book form, within The Land of Enchantment (Cassell and Company, 1907) on page 129. It illustrates section six (entitled 'Thor's Journey to the Giants') of 'Stories from the Edda' by E.S. Buchheim. These printed appearances were of a black and white drawing. As with many other examples, Rackham took his original drawing and added additional detail and colour.
