Catalogue Note

The caption, as published in the Daily Sketch on 2 December 1936, commences "The next morning Babar got up and dressed, and while it was dressing he heard something tapping on his window. He opened it - it was some sparrows..." These two illustrations were both printed on page 14 of the 1940 coloured edition.
