Catalogue Note
The first work is a lurid cautionary tale set in the form of a dream narrative in which an "unfortunate soldier of Venus" dreams of the fate that awaits "the Bawd that sold him the French Commodity ... at so vast a rate." The second is an exhaustive compilation of what the author refers to as "instances of uncleanness" with examples drawn largely from the life and antics of the Emperor Tiberius.
Both titles are rare with ESTC listing only 6 copies of the first and 7 of the second.
