《喝茶的日子》是梁銓創作於2008 年的作品，是藝術家的紙本拼貼系列的重要示範之作。梁銓出生於一九四八年，是中國改革開放後首批出國留學的藝術家。梁銓是八十年代中國抽象藝術的先鋒，二千年開始以宣紙拼貼作為他獨特的藝術風格，再現宣紙及茶葉代表的中國傳統美學。藝術家先用刀把宣紙裁成條狀，並刻意保留紙張的毛邊，之後再以茶水、中國水墨、水彩及壓克力染色，把紙條一層一層的黏貼上去，以不同顏色及層次來營造不同的視覺效果，中國傳統文化的精髓淡然活現。梁銓的創作結合抽象藝術與中國傳統美學，卻同時跨越了典型的東西藝術的二元對立，呈現了超越西方抽象及中國水墨的藝術傳統。
