Condition

i. This work is in good condition overall. There is pale time-staining to the sheet. The sheet is deckled on the right and bottom edges. There are hinge marks evident in each of the corners. There are scattered horizontal creases and rippling throughout. There is evidence of previous matting throughout the sheet. There is a minor irregularity to the sheet evident in the figure's face above the mouth. Framed under glass. ii. There is light surface soiling and accretions throughout, most pronounced along the top and sides. There is a pronounced scratch with associated wear to lower right area beneath the sitterÂ’s right arm. There are a few minor chips and losses at the bottom right edge.
