Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the illustration fails to fully convey the different tonalities of the nine squares apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is evidence of extremely light wear towards the two lower corner tips. Close inspection reveals a few minute hairline cracks in places, notably towards the left hand centre of the composition. Visibly only in raking light, there are three short and unobtrusive drip marks towards the centre of the lower right quadrant. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
