painted after Rugendas with battle scenes with European and Turkish soldiers on horseback, the teabowl also with a scene of a camp, within gilt scroll and shell cartouches oulined in black, the ground with scattered holzschnitt Blumen inside a border of gilt foliate scrolls, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, gilder's letter h to saucer
