Une des meilleures éditions annotées des Lettres de madame de Sévigné, augmentée de quelques pièces inédites, et donc en partie originale. Elle est illustrée d'un facsimilé de lettre et de 24 portraits, dont 9 signés de Saint-Aubin et 2 d'après Mignard avant la lettre.
L'ensemble a été soigneusement relié dans le goût des reliures classiques de Bradel le jeune.
