Very good condition overall with some surface dirt in the crevisses and some minor oxydation to the gilt bronze.

Catalogue Note

Cet élément en bronze doré figurant une sirène a probablement été antérieurement affixé à une pendule, un chenêt ou autre élément de mobilier. On trouve notamment au Musée des Arts décoratifs, une applique réalisée par le bronzier Pierre Gouthière vers 1780 (GR 84 A) dont la sirène ornant le fût est très proche du présent modèle, notamment par les traits du visage.
