Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been boxed to the reverse and also glazed which makes any close inspection of the canvas difficult. However, the slight undulation in the canvas and the excellent condition of the paint surface would suggest that the work is unlined. There is some faint craquelure in parts.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
Under ultraviolet light some of the pigments fluoresce darkly, however, this would appear to be the pigments used by the artist.
FRAME
In a modern gilt frame.
