Large 8vo (11 1/8 x 7 3/4 in.; 283 x 196 mm). Title printed in red and black, etched plates in six states, 20 original drawings in pencil which served as studies for the illustrations. Red crushed morocco, double-fillet border, frame of gilt-ruled interlaced lines, spine gilt, edges gilt, red morocco doublures with inlaid dark red morocco frame and triple-fillet borders, endleaves of maroon watered silk, original prospectus bound in, by E. Maylander, in a morocco-trimmed slipcase.
