Condition

Even 4-5mm pile overall. Crimson ground with some oxidisation and some areas down to foundation. Areas within lower left corner of main field with blue warp threads showing, in areas of the original crimson ground, and in small areas of the cream ground of the border. Some small reweaves, for example in areas of worn cream colour, area lower right side border. Old moth damage, strengthened with Kashmiri stitch. Minor amounts of old moth damage in borders. With pink re-overcast side cords. Side cords partially rebound. Original flat weave ends and whie cotton fringes. Crisp and vibrant colour combination, with attractive light ground to border and charming motifs within the main field. Good squarish size. Design is based on a Classical Moghul carpet.
