of rectangular form, woven with ochre and gilt threads, decorated with a cerise silk repeat pattern of composite floral heads on foliate stems including tulips, carnations and peonies, olive green and blue silk floral detailing, with old collection label to reverse written in Dutch which reads '496E/01, 18th Century Venetian Gold Brocade, RAI' 

Condition

In fairly good condition, tears with associated restoration and re-construction of areas of textile, some loose threads, consistent with age and use, as viewed.
