Description

  • marine ivory and steel with leather scabbard
the curved blade with groove running at flat back edge, the ivory hilt with curved pommel and hanging quillons in the form of dragon-heads, decorated in gold overlay with floral scrolls, the blade with gold overlaid inscriptions within cartouches, the leather-covered wooden scabbard with two steel mounts with foliate motifs, old collection label and round plaque engraved '67' attached

Condition

In fairly good condition, some ware to ivory and rubbing to blade and cross-guard resulting in loss of gold overlay, ware to wooden scabbard consistent with age and use, as viewed.
