Both chairs have old worm to rails and replaced cross stretchers inside rails. One chair has breaks to the tops of both arms and one replaced spandrel. Some minor age cracks to the other spandrels. One back leg has been spliced. The other chairs also have repaired breaks to the tops of the arms. The central cross stretcher is later and the right hand side stretcher has repairs and later elements. Both chairs were originally fitted with castors now missing. Joints loose. The nedlework has some re-working. Both chairs have holes in the needlework and wear and these covers will need some work and conservation.. The backs of both chairs have some holes. Minor losses to carved details. They are lovely chairs but will need some restoration.
