Description

  • Mother of pearl, Tortoiseshell, rosewood
  • 79cm. high; 75cm. wide; 67,5cm. deep, 2ft. 7in, 2ft. 5 ½ in, 2ft. 2 ½in.
the raised top with a canted border inlaid with scrolling foliage inset with a later removeable chessboard revealing a recess, the edge of the top with ripple-cut moulding, the frieze with a band of stylised foliage on ebonised spirally turned legs terminating in toupie feet

Condition

Overall in good condition; Games board of a later date as well as the rosewood bottom section below the board. Very minor losses and repairs to mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell. Originally with castors.
