Description

  • Delftware
  • 35cm., 13 3/4 in.diameter
painted with a full length portrait  of probably King William III wearing a crown and coronation robes, carrying an orb and sceptre, flanked by two leafy trees, the reverse with a lead glaze

Condition

There is a fine hairline crack to the rim, located at 3 o'clock which measures approximately 12cm long. There is a restored chip to the rim at approximately 6 o'clock which has discoloured. There is a flake to the glaze on the Kings robe which could have occurred during manufacture.
