Condition
In overall good conserved condition. The painted tôle decoration is in generally good condition. Colour slightly darker overall and more attractive than than in the catalogue photograph. Old very minor marks and chips commensurate with age. There are some very minor restored breaks in the carved giltwood sections, but these have been well-executed and are hardly noticeable. There is evidence of old very minor worm which appears to be no longer active. Some very minor wear to gilding in places. One of the handles has a restored break towards the top which has been painted with brown paint and would benefit from some minor retouching with gilding. On one of the collars where there have been previously restored breaks there is a slight gap and on the same one there is a recent very minor chip to the egg-and-dart rim.
