  • each 104cm high, 128cm wide, 50.5cm deep; 3ft. 7in., 4ft. 2¼in., 1ft. 8in.
each with a shaped onyx top on a scrolled support centred by a stylised scallopshell above a foliate trail terminating in an inward scrolled foot

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Tops: They are later and slightly darker in colour, more natural and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old minor marks, chips and scratches. Both tops have been restored and have areas of infill. Bases: Colour of painting and gilding overall slightly darker and more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches and restorations to carving. Old very minor worm which appears to be no longer active. Construction cracks generally which are normal with age and usage and can easily be filled. Old minor restorations to rear right corner of one and to front bowed section of same one and the left corner has a minor section of the gilded border replaced. which is only visible when viewed from the back. The other table in the left of the photograph has later blocks to both corners.
