Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Colour of marble slightly darker as is the gilding and more natural and attractive the in photo. Attractive detail to carving. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. There are four small additons in wood beneath to the top of the front frieze probably to stabilise the marble top but this is not noticeable. The pad feet are probably later. There are old minor restorations to the carving and to the frieze. The left leg and the right leg has an old restored break which would benefit from some further attention. Some chips to the gilding have been touched up with gilt paint and would benefit from some retouching. There are some minor scattered chips along the rear edge of the marble top and generally.
