Provenance
Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia Carignano (d. 1931) was Duke of Apulia and then of Aosta. He was married to Helen of Orléans and the father of Amadeo (d. 1942), Viceroy of Ethiopia from 1937 to 1940.

Condition
In overall good conserved condition. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and use. Evidence of old worm which appears to be no longer active. On one part of the rear left hoof foot is missing due to worm damage but this can easily be restored. There are some hairline construction cracks generally but these are hardly noticeable as these are in the main at the joints and commensurate with age.
