Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Joints sound and sturdy on three but one of the chairs has an unstable back which will need attention. Very attractive detail to carving. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and use. The chairs have been repolished. There are construction cracks at the joints due to shrinkage but these do not detract from the piece. Old minor restorations generally but these have been very well executed and do not detract from the piece. The colour is slightly uneven throughout with the backs slightly lighter in colour due to fading.
