In need of some attention but once restored it will look most attractive. Colour slightly darker overall than in the catalogue photograph. There is a large chip to the rear right edge and chips along the rear edge and plaster residue where the fireplace was it was previously inset. Old marks chips and scratches. Each mask is missing one ear.There is a substantial chip to the middle of the left support as visible from the catalogue. The marble is dirty and would benefit from a clean according to taste. There is a repaired diagonal break across the left upper section immediately above the left hand jamb as visible from the catalogue photograph which would benefit from a more sympathetic restoration. The gallo antico on the left jamb protruding behind teh mask is missing from teh right side but can be easily replaced. The husks below the mask on the left side are a different colour to those on the other side. The giallo antico blocks beneath the jambs are associated.
