Description

  • Ivory, wood

Provenance

Formerly in the collection of Prince Massimo Montalto di Fragnito and thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The okimono is in overall very good condition with the exception of a small chip to one of the wooden sticks on the lower back of the pile on the figures right hand side. The ivory is patinated to a softer, more yellowish tone than the catalogue illsutration suggests.
