Catalogue Note

Si les coupes figurent parmi les objets les plus caractéristiques du style Tami, celle-ci se distingue par sa forme exceptionnelle à double réceptacles. Le décor sculpté, à l'agencement symétrique, souligne la tension des courbes : s'achevant sur le dessous par deux têtes de mariam et, à chaque extrémité, par un personnage émergeant en haut relief, à la pose frontale classique. La profonde patine sombre est mise en valeur par les rehauts de kaolin dans les creux.
