Ce masque zamblé exprime superbement - dans la tension des courbes et la finesse de la sculpture - la beauté idéalisée et la force des jeunes hommes, qu'il symbolise au cours de la danse zahouli. Doublement métaphorique, son iconographie associe la puissance du léopard dont une peau recouvre le corps du danseur, à celle de l'homme, lié dans la pensée Guro à l'image de l'antilope (cf. Deluz in AFAA, 1989, p. 130).
