Catalogue Note
Dans un geste superbement maîtrisé, le sculpteur a uni le visage humain et les attributs issus du monde animal, caractérisant la puissance de ce masque lomane, qui intervenait lors d'importantes cérémonies funéraires. Tranchant avec les interdits qui l'accompagnaient, s'impose l'élégance du visage dont la beauté idéalisée est exaltée par la finesse des traits et la tension des lignes.
