Condition

Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Inventory number in white under the figure inside the legs. Fine dark patina with traces of wear to the edges.

Voir Sotheby's (Paris, 5 décembre 2007, n°27) et Dapper (1987, p. 263) pour un - rare -support de poulie de métier à tisser comparable, représentant un oiseau résumé à ses lignes essentielles. L'image du calao bicorne, tirée du panthéon Sénufo, rappelle le caractère mythique du tissage.
